Today we were outside after school enjoying the beautiful weather and Cailee asked, "Do dogs get married?" (Seeing our neighbors cute dog)
Me: "No, not really."
Cailee: "Then how do they have puppies."
Me: "Dogs are kind of tricky that way."
Great response I know. Right at that moment I was wishing that dogs did get married so that I would have a better response. I'm so glad that she understands she needs to be married before she has kids, but not so glad that she's curious about how dogs have puppies. Oh how I love the curiousity of my children.

We of course are really disappointed and frustrated, but we now need to try and focus our efforts on the things we can control. She will continue to be on her high blood pressure meds and will most likely always be. Thank goodness it's just part of the daily routine by now. We'll get more blood work done next week to see what her current kidney function is and see her pediatrician in about a month to check her blood pressure, ect. Cailee's nephrologist wants her to get blood drawn every 3 months to keep a close eye on her kidney function. When more symptoms start popping up then they want to try the prednisone or Rituxan one more time to see if now that she's had the one treatment series of Rituxan if she would respond to either one of those. (Not looking forward to either, but if they worked it would be worth it.) But we won't try that until more symptoms of the NS start occurring. We'll probably be taking a trip to Denver to see her nephrologist sometime in April or May when the roads are better. But in the meantime, we are going to enjoy less visits to the doctor (hopefully-as long as she stays as healthy as she can) and try to let her be a little girl. It's now in Heavenly Father's hands. He knows better than we do what Cailee's plan is and we have to trust and have faith.
